Charities we Like to Support:

Although we are a charity and can't fundraise for other charities, we do like to help out where we can. Whether by providing cake, collecting donations, or helping out at events, here are some of the charities we like to support. We'd love it if you supported them too.

The Soupervan The Soupervan provides Bedford's homeless with more than just soup. Wixams Vixens are collecting toiletries, non-perishable food and other necessities, to deliver with some good old WI cake. We'd welcome your donations - just get in touch.	St John's Hospice, Moggerhanger When the lovely people at Sue Ryder asked us if we could help them to 'yarn bomb' St John's Hospice, ready for their 'Big Weekend' of fundraising on 12th & 13th August, how could we refuse? If you'd like to join in, we are asking for knitted or crocheted 12" squares, which will be collected at our 'Stitch & Bitch' on Wednesday, 2nd August. The squares will be delivered to the hospice, ready to be sewn together, around trees in their 'festival field'
YMCA Bedfordshire When Paul and Sarah from YMCA Bedfordshire came to talk to us at our April meeting, they inspired us to do what we can for Bedford's rough sleepers and vulnerable people. We are currently collecting good quality mens clothing to donate to the YMCA's shelters and plan to provide respite workshops in the near future. If you feel that you can help us in any way, please get in touch.
